Water company tracks vehicles to save
Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water says it is expecting to reduce fuel consumption, enhance work practices and planning and improve customer service levels through fitting a tracking system in its 105 cars, vans and commercial vehicles. The company serves 420,000 people in parts of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire It has chosen the C-track tracking system from Digicore, which has tailored the solution to match the operator's ongoing business plan, as well as helping it achieve efficiencies and promote best practice. The system will also form an essential part of Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water's health and safety policy and code of practice, helping the company to manage work-related road safety better. To help protect its mobile workforce and improve working conditions, the company has also had panic alarms have been installed on approximately 60 of the vehicles to allow employees to call for assistance in an emergency.
