Quicker configuration with mobile development tool
Easier configuration of mobile applications for Microsoft-based devices has been introduced in the latest version of MobiForms, the rapid application development tool for building Java-based mobile applications. Version 3.1 of MobiForms introduces a Deployment Wizard for Pocket PC, Windows CE and Windows Mobile. It is intended to help users to manage the development of mobile applications from design right through to deployment on to the mobile device - without having to worry about the more complex aspects of manual configuration. Other new features include SMTP email commands, which enable mobile applications to send emails directly from a button, and improved support for the Mysaifu and IBM J9 Java environments. Alongside Windows-based devices, MobiForms also supports EPOC, Symbian and Palm. The company behind it says it can reduce the time needed for creating mobile applications "from days to minutes".
