Tracer Systems adds CMS tracking to JobLogic suite

Vehicle tracking has been added to the JobLogic field service management suite from Tracer Management Systems. The company has integrated the SupaTrak system from CMS Global Technologies into its range, offering what product manager Dave Wilson calls "the ideal solution".

Using the new system, job schedulers can now see where all their field staff are at any given moment, and respond more effectively to calls to attend a breakdown or emergency repair.

Tracer, a subsidiary of refrigeration specialist Carter Thermal Industries, aims to provide a full end-to-end management capability for service and maintenance contractors. Its flagship suite, JobLogic, is aimed at companies with between five and fifty engineers, though the company says it can also be effective with larger or smaller numbers of mobile staff.

JobLogic already includes capabilities for planning remote worker job schedules and communicating with staff via mobile phones or PDAs, as well as related functions such as job costing, quotations, purchasing, fixed and mobile stock management and accounts integration.

CMS is emerging as one of the faster-growing fleet management and real-time tracking specialists. Its selection by Tracer to provide an integrated solution underlines its increasing recognition as a generic best-of-breed supplier in its field.
