VT Software, a company with both fleet management and work force management products, has been acquired by Civica, a leading software and services group, in a deal valuing it at £3 million.

VT's main product suites are Tranman, the fleet and workshop management system; and Servitor, a business management tool used widely in local authorities and housing associations. Servitor applications include building repairs, highways maintenance, grounds maintenance, refuse collection, street cleansing, building cleaning, gas servicing and resource management.

The company was acquired not long ago by VT Group among Lex vehicle support businesses purchased from the RAC Group. Civica specialises in the local government, housing, law enforcement, education and healthcare sectors.
