Cybit rebrands Thales specialist tracking solutions
Following the latest stage in Cybit's seemingly inexorable growth, the company has rebranded the high-accuracy tracking operations of Thales Telematics, which it acquired earlier this year. A new division, Cybit Positioning Solutions, has been created to focus on what the group calls 'specialist telematics-based solutions to industries requiring precision location and positioning information'. Its aim is to offer precise positioning and radio-based technologies to companies in the oil and gas exploration, precision agriculture, mining, airport operations and maritime industries. It will work closely with another acquired company, Bluefinger, which concentrates on maritime industries, but it seems the two will remain separate entities for now. We understand Thales' vehicle fleet tracking systems are being integrated elsewhere into the Cybit organisation.
