Two upgraded Web sites have been launched by ICThings.com, the asset tracking specialist.

One, described as a Web portal, gives subscribing users access to the company's tracking system, and makes it easier for them to monitor and configure their location units remotely. They have access to virtual security shields, historical data and operational reporting, and can also see information such as current battery life in all mobile units. The site also hosts the mapping that shows the current location of each tracked asset.

The other new site is the company's main public Web site, which describes the company's products and their uses, and has been redesigned to give it a more modern 'feel' and better usability.

ICThings supplies a system built round its IC500e location unit, which is battery-powered and can be left unattended for years if necessary. It is used for tracking and protecting trailers, plant, vehicles, cargo and other mobile assets.
