More memory for flash-based JLT from Barcoding.co.uk
An upgraded version of the JLT 8403 tablet PC (m.logistics, issue 26) has been launched by Barcoding.co.uk. Like the earlier version, the 8404 table can be loaded with Windows XP either on hard disk or in flash. Specifications have been upped in the new model; the size of flash virtual disk goes up from 4Gb to a maximum of 8GB, and the size of the alternative hard disk goes up from 20Gb to 40GB. Retained from the previous version are the aluminium construction, IP-65 water and dust protection and MIL-STD810F ruggedness. The 8.4in 800 by 600 pixel SVGA touch screen is also the same. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-#Fi, 3G and GPRS.
