Enterprise email for BlackBerry without the enterprise
Small businesses and individual users wanting to deploy BlackBerry mobile devices are being targeted by a new service from Cortado, the 'push' email specialist operation set up by German developer ThinPrint. It has announced a service that offers the features of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server email and communications management system on a hosted basis at a price of 19.98 euros a month. For this, you get the BlackBerry push services for messages, applications, address book, calendar, tasks and memos, plus the Cortado Business Plus Exchange Email package with a 2GB mailbox, comprehensive virus protection and professional spam filter. Users can continue using their existing email address, as with all Cortado mailbox packages. Parent ThinPrint has launched a new version of its Content Beamer system, which allows users to access business files and network systems remotely from a BlackBerry smartphone. It describes the system as acting 'like a remote control', allowing mobile users to display, fax, edit and print documents stored on their business network from a BlackBerry smartphone. You can also transfer files to and from document management system.
