Faster mobile apps development from Momote

It should be possible to develop and deploy complete mobile applications more quickly and easily with a range of enhancements added to the Momote MX Platform. This is the promise of Momote, the specialist in tailored wireless service management solutions for corporate users and software developers.

The enhancements come in the form of a new component added to the Momote Platform - Momote MX Server. What this does, says the company, is help users integrate existing enterprise systems with new mobile applications. It does this by supporting a wide range of what the company terms 'data interchange' technologies, including HTTP, SMS, push, email, Web services, FTP, file drop-boxes and direct SQL queries.

The company says it also speeds up the development and deployment of mobility applications by enabling developers to 'plug in' Momote's end-to-end building blocks of functionality very quickly. These include MX Extensions such as signature capture, authentication, photo capture, storage and Web viewing.

Momote has also enhanced the functionality and scope of mobile devices that are supported by the MX Platform itself. Applications can now be deployed in kiosk mode and the developer can 'lock down' mobile devices by disabling hard buttons. Momote also now fully supports Windows CE devices.
