Flat-rate Wi-Fi hotpot service launched
Trustive, which claims to be Europe's leading wireless hotspot access provider, has launched what it calls an 'all you can eat' pricing system aimed at individual mobile professionals and small and medium-sized businesses. It will be available at over 30,000 hotspots, of which 23,000 are already available, while the rest are due to come on stream this summer. The monthly fee of 33 euros allows individual subscribers to use any of the company's affiliated hotspots for an unlimited time with no additional roaming charges or per-minute fees. Users can also cancel their subscription by giving one month's notice. The company's existing 25-euro pay-per-second service has been retained. The Trustive service aims to allow users to detect and gain secure one-click access to the Trustive network of hotspots anywhere in the world. The end-user interface also incorporates an email tool that enables messages to be sent from any hotspot via an existing email account, even if SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) access is blocked by the hotspot.
