Two years after introducing vehicle tracking in 300 vehicles from its MeterPlus metering division, energy company npower has extended the tracking system to 100 more vans. As before, it has picked the C-track system from DigiCore.

The two years of operation use have given the company plenty of time to assess the benefits. According to Graham Jefferies, who heads up MeterPlus, the system has provided significant benefits in fleet control, as well as enabling the company to manage meter installations operation better.

C-track is designed to give total transparency of fleet movements in real time to maximise the productivity and effectiveness of mobile workforce and assets.

The original solution was fitted in 300 vehicles operating in the North East, Yorkshire, the North West and the East Midlands.
