Barloworld Handling has chosen Masternaut to provide Web-based vehicle tracking for 550 service vehicles.

Barloworld is believed to be the largest independent distributor of forklift trucks in the world, and manages a fleet of over 30,000 fork lifts for customers in the UK alone, offering round-the-clock maintenance services through 23 regional support centres.

The Masternaut system is being fitted to the company's entire UK service fleet in order to boost customer service and improve efficiency.

Barloworld marketing manager Richard McKenzie says the benefits have become evident very quickly, and include improved productivity as well as improvements in bottom-line profits. 'The service will allow us to fine-tune our service operations continually,' he adds.
