Cargo2Go builds same-day franchise network around DA connectivity
Cargo2Go, a same-day delivery company aiming to build up a nationwide franchised transport network, has chosen the ACI (Advanced Courier Interface) from DA Systems central to play a central role in controlling and scheduling its operations. The company aims to create a network of 52 depots nationwide, each of which will operate a vehicle fleet ranging from small vans to articulated vehicles. Accordingly drivers will all be trained to handle anything from the smallest packet or document up palletised goods. So far the company deployed ACI in its two flagship depots in the North West. As new franchised depots are established, each location will be linked to the main Cargo2Go data server, through which DA Systems is handling integration with the company's existing systems (including its SAGE accounts package). The server is hosted at its third-party IT company ACI will be used by controllers to schedule, track and report on all collections and deliveries. Drivers will be in constant contact with the controllers, allowing them to log the most up to date information on to the system, such as POB (package on board), POD (proof of delivery) and other important information about the delivery. The company also plans to roll out the DA's NX Mobile Data solution across its fleet. This will enable drivers to capture consignment information electronically and give controllers complete visibility of the status and location of the entire fleet.
