Manual entries, low-cost reader in FTAs tacho analysis upgrade
Additional features have been incorporated in the tachograph analysis services offered by the Freight Transport Association, including full support for manual entries. Users can enter mode changes and times for a full day if required, and can specify when an agency driver is being used. FTA has also launched a £500 digital driver card reader that allows driver card data to be uploaded directly to FTA's analysis software via a GPRS mobile network connection. It is also offering a combined driver card and vehicle download unit, which will either take digital vehicle data straight from the digital tachograph, or download driver card data directly. Driver card and vehicle data can then be uploaded to computer via a USB connection for analysis as required.
