SIMS and airtime contracts from UnIQue ID
If you're buying hardware for a mobile logistics or job management application from UnIQue ID, an established specialist in automated data capture and mobile computing, you can now buy a mobile airtime contract as well. The service comes as a result of a deal struck by UnIQue with its (unnamed) airtime provider. It is said to be available on voice and data SIM cards from all the UK's mobile network operators, including Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile, and UnIQue claims that it provides access to 'the most competitive and flexible airtime tariffs available'. Behind this development is the fact that while most telematics and mobile data applications nowadays involve a mobile phone account, it can be complicated to integrate this with the application in question. UnIQue aims to take the pain out of this process; and to smooth things even further, it can also offer SIM cards and airtime packages for its customers' ordinary mobile phones.
