Psion unveils PDA-style iKön
Psion Teklogix is back in the market that Psion pioneered over twenty years ago - or so reads the announcement of its iKön PDA. This may not mean it is literally back in the consumer market, but it does draw attention to the executive appeal of the new model, which puts it into strong contention for such uses with rivals such as Motorola and Intermec, as well as in full mobile and industrial applications. The iKön is compact (just 155mm by 80mm) and has a bright, full VGA resolution screen and optional QWERTY keyboard, as well as a built-in 2 megapixel camera. It can operate on wireless networks or as a full mobile phone and data terminal, and various barcode scanning options are offered. Then of course there's the 'cool' look of the unit. But how do you evaluate that?
