Satellite tracking helps keep bikers on the road

Movements of motorbikes and bike parts by Bikers Legal Defence are being tracked the Masternaut vehicle tracking system, and the organisation says this has paid for itself in its first six months of use.

Stuart Dobson, the company's operations director for workshop and fleet activities, adds that the organisation has been able to improve service levels, increase operational efficiency and reduce costs. It has also helped to enhance the efficiency of the company's Paragon routing and scheduling system, making it easier to allocate the nearest resource to each job, to prioritise jobs and to respond to ad hoc requests. It also helps to keep customers informed about impending vehicle arrivals.

Bikers Legal Defence provides a 'one stop shop' for motorcycle, moped and scooter 'post-accident service' requests, including bike and riding kit hire, collection, storage and repair of damaged bikes, and replacement purchase facilities and financing.

The business is instructed by some of the UK's leading motorcycle insurance companies, legal expense insurers, accident management companies and solicitors in respect of both defendant and claimant referrals.
