Action Aerials, which claims to be the UK's largest independent installer of TV and radio aerials, has chosen Cognito's Mobile Workforce Management solution to automate the scheduling and job completion processes of its aerial installations.

Action Aerials is the trading name of Skyforce, a nationwide operator based at Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, which has more than 100 engineers around the UK.

Using the new system, the company says it will be able to allocate jobs to engineers automatically on the basis of on their location and the customer requirement. Engineers will be notified of job and customer details in real time, and completed job information will be instantly uploaded back to the office, providing the company with full control and visibility of work in progress.

According to operations manager Parvis Taylor: 'We had reached a tipping point where we needed to automate our paper-based processes to satisfy the increased demand for our services.'

 

He says the company looked at many suppliers of mobile service software, but Cognito stood out as being at the forefront. 'We didn't want to give ourselves additional workload by having an automated system that needed looking after,' he says.
