Bigger keys in tougher CN3 model
Intermec has launched a version of its increasingly popular CN3 series of rugged mobile computers with larger keys and extended environmental specifications. It describes the new unit as a 'mid-size, rugged mobile computer', and says it is aimed at operations such as direct store deliveries and what it terms in-transit visibility applications. The CN3e has a more rugged case that the original CN3, and a smaller screen relative to the size of the fascia. Wide numeric keys replace the smaller numeric or QWERTY keys on the CN3. The CN3e also has extended data capture options including choice of 2D area imager and integral colour camera. Common to both versions are the operating system (Windows Mobile 5.0 Premium and Phone Edition), APIs and wireless mobile options (802.11b/g WLAN with CCX v.3, Bluetooth, integrated GPS, and choice of GSM, GPRS, EDGE and CDMA network connectivity).
