Dexterra Concert gains added flexibility
A new version of Dexterra Concert, the mobile application platform, has been released by Dexterra to what it calls its 'extensive partner ecosystem' and to corporate developers. Dexterra Concert aims to provide such organisations with a single mobility platform for application development that integrates with enterprise back-office and legacy systems and supports all market-leading devices and mobile operating systems including those from Motorola, RIM and Microsoft. The new version 5.0 has enhancements and added functionality. Device support has been expanded, and includes a 'device management agent' for over-the-air provisioning and upgrades. There is additional internationalisation support for device settings by language and location. Integrated modelling and design tools have been added, plus an automated screen generation wizard. There are also expanded integration options, with various technology and data adapters. Finally there is enhanced operational control with subscriber, device and security management features.
Dexterra Concert is said to be used by over 200 enterprise customers and partners worldwide, including Emirates Airlines, IKON Office Solutions, Motorola, Stanford University and the United States Department of Homeland Security.
