Eezehaul monitors driver and vehicle performance
Eezehaul, a Gatwick-based specialist in express transport, storage and distribution, is one of the earliest users of Masternaut's extended telematics package, which can now include live monitoring of vehicle and driver performance as well as conventional position updates and tracking history. The company says it has been able to make 'comprehensive operational improvements' as a result. The Masternaut system is being used to provide various real-time reporting functions, including engine idling, route monitoring and driver performance. The company says the system is helping to moderate behaviour, ensuring that drivers stick to rules and standards. Among features is the use of the driver ID keys, which the company says has reduced the incidence of 'anonymous damage' to vehicles. This in turn has led to an improvement in the presentation of the fleet and a reduction in repair costs. According to managing director Mark Duggan: 'Masternaut has given our management team 'eyes'.' He says the system has enabled the company to increase the number of parcel drops it achieves per round, as well as supporting key performance indicators by proving exactly when drivers leave the depot and arrive at its hub. Eezehaul is one of the largest inputters to The Pallet Network and the APC parcels network, providing 2,500 deliveries for over 600 customers.
