Free mobile email for iPhones
Users of Apple's high-profile new iPhone are already being spoiled for choice when it comes to mobile email. In addition to the newly-launched free Momail service, they can also make use of the Cortado Free email service. This allows users on the 'data flat rate' from O2 to receive emails at any time. Users get a personal Cortado email address with professional spam filter, virus protection and 20 MB of storage space. They can also use existing email addresses. Other features include optional email software and synchronisation with iCal and the address book. Corporate users might also want to give the once-over to an iPhone email system from Visto Mobile. Users can send and receive attachments, receive HTML email and view emails as they were originally sent. Users can search for any contact and place a call, send an email or obtain driving directions by selecting the contact's phone number, email address or physical address. The Visto service was launched with a 60-day free trial period. Pricing after that had not been announced when we closed for press.
