ACE Liftaway, a specialist in waste recycling, skip hire and portable toilet hire, has achieved a major improvement in customer service by fitting a tracking system in twenty of its vehicles. It has chosen the Trakm8 SWIFT system.

ACE Liftaway provides resources for sites and events across Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire, catering for anything from small garden parties to business waste recycling. It serves over a thousand customers from its office in Romsey, Hampshire.

Prior to introducing the TrackM8 system the company found that it took anything from ten minutes to an hour to deal with customer queries. Something was needed to improve the quality of its service.

Now the TrakM8 SWIFT system has been installed in twenty of its vehicles, which range in size from 4.5 tonnes to 44 tonnes. The company says competitor offerings were too complex.

 

Already the system has brought other gains. Insurance premiums have been reduced, vehicle idling time has been cut by 50 per cent, and the company is able to reconcile journey reports with work sheets for productivity purposes.

Transport Manager Karen Ricketts sums up the benefits. 'We often get reports from people claiming that our lorries are speeding, or that something has fallen off the back of one of our lorries and hit a windscreen,' she says. 'We can now use Trakm8 SWIFT to verify these claims accurately.

'We're also able to provide instantaneous reporting to our customers, which has improved customer satisfaction and enabled us to take on more work.'
