Orange marvel now available from Spirit
The innovative Gotive SQ31 handheld computer, announced by the Czech manufacturer last year, is now available in the UK through Spirit Data Capture, the company's distributor in the UK and Ireland. As we said on its launch, the SQ31 looks a bit like a mobile phone. Although it isn't, it can be used as a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone. It provides wireless (802.11b) communications and comes with a range of groupware accessories (including a pistol grip) and for organised storing and charging. Powering it is an Intel XScale PXA270 processor running at 520 MHz, with 128MB of RAM and 256MB of flash memory, while the operating system is Windows CE 5.0. As we noted before, there are just three programmable keys on the fascia and four more on the sides, plus a reset key, all of which makes it appear deceptively simple. The company describes the interface as a 'navi' keypad.
