Self-contained tracking from CMS
Telematics specialist SupaTrak has launched a self-contained tracking device, the Solo, for use in situations where assets need to be temporarily tracked and no external power source is available. The company says the compact Solo device can be covertly attached to any steel surface using built-in magnets, and will allow staff to keep tabs on the vehicle, trailer, container or any other asset via the SupaTrak Web-based tracking system. The unit features a built-in tamper switch which immediately sends out notification if it is removed. The compact weatherproof unit includes built-in GPS and GSM antenna, and the CMS service offers tracking intervals ranging from once a day to once a minute. Users also get and unlimited access to the easy-to-use Web-based mapping.
