TomTom Work, the TomTom satnav company's telematics package for business users, should be easier to fit following the launch of what it calls the TomTom LINK 300 box product for its TomTom WORK Active solution.

The box forms part of a broader package, which also includes the online TomTom Webfleet application and the recently introduced TomTom GO 720 satnav device. Alternatively, the LINK 300 solution is also available as a separate tracking-only solution.

The 'box' itself is a tracking and communication module measuring just 85.5mm by 67mm by 24mm, with built-in GPS and GPRS antennas and an internal GPRS unit. It communicates with the online Webfleet application. Users can also benefit from traffic updates to plan their journeys more efficiently.

Webfleet provides fleet owners with daily summary reports including work time, speed profiles and the number of trips and stops per driver.

 

The TomTom GO 720 satnav system includes extensive maps of Europe and up-to-the-minute navigation features such as hands-free calling, voice address input and text-to-speech conversion.
