ClickSoftware and Aspective work together on mobile workforce package
Two of the big names in field force management software, ClickSoftware and Aspective (these days a Vodafone subsidiary) have announced a jointly-developed field service management package for what they term mid-sized companies (those with 50 to 500 mobile workers). Which company brings what resources to the table? Well, ClickSoftware says its strengths lie in schedule optimisation technology, while Aspective's are in delivering field force mobility. Together, the companies say, the solution provides customers with an end-to-end solution from a single source. They argue that this protects users from risks associated with piecing together a field service management solution from multiple vendors. The ClickSoftware element is based on the company's ClickIMRS (Installation, Maintenance and Repair Services), which is said to provide seamless integration into Microsoft Dynamics CRM, part of Microsoft's expanding ERP platform. It is designed to enable mid-sized service organisations to link their field force to all parts of the business, offering efficient responses to customer needs from both office-based and mobile workers.
