FollowUs, the low-cost mobile phone- and GPS-based tracking supplier, has appointed data communications company Wyless to provide wireless connectivity for its tracking solutions. Among other systems, Wyless will be providing its Wyless Management Platform, giving visibility and control of SIMs and connections.

Among highlights of the FollowUs range of flexible packages are various pay-as-you-go options, and Wyless is supporting this approach by providing a pool of IP addresses that can be assigned and re-assigned to customers quickly and easily. It is also making available its range of billing options and billing functionality.

Among other applications, the Wyless SIM will be used in FollowUs's new healthcare solution, which allows tracking of people with illnesses such as dementia.

Wyless aims to enable organisations to outsource the management of their wireless networks to lower security risks, costs and complexities and improve control over connections.

FollowUs says that over the past four years it has become the one of UK's largest tracking system providers, with 135,000 registered users.
