Masternaut buys software development business
Tracking and mobile job management specialist Masternaut Three X has extended its capabilities further into the general management market by acquiring a business software development company, ICM Business Solutions. Masternaut added field service management to its portfolio when it acquired Three X a couple of years ago. Managing director Martin Port says the new acquisition will allow the company to establish a one-stop shop for complete business technology solutions, and boost its software development and integration capability. ICM is a Microsoft Gold Partner, and specialises in financial, logistics, e-commerce and CRM solutions running on the Microsoft Dynamics platform. It was already working with Masternaut on business continuity systems. Masternaut only recently signed a deal to offer products from Microsoft's Virtual Earth division, and says the new deal strengthens its Microsoft ties. The acquired business will be run by the previous management team of Rod Atherton and Andrew Wilkinson, and will be known as Three X Business Solutions.
