CYC Logistics, one of Britain's leading courier companies, has implemented a mobile data and fleet tracking system from DA Systems, and says it is already having 'a huge impact on our business efficiency and accountability', in the words of systems manager Paul Knight.

He says that although the company had previously tried other mobile management systems, 'they were ineffective and didn't work with our XDAs.'

The system from DA, by contrast, 'was easily rolled out and integrated with our existing systems,' he says. 'It has given us the competitive edge and enabled us to retain and win accounts.'

The company is using DA Systems' NX Mobile Data and Fleet Tracking solutions, which deliver instant communications and location information between its office operations and fleet of 140 vehicles.

 

It is also using DA's ACI (Advanced Courier Interface), a real-time scheduling and fleet management tool that allows controllers to schedule, track, log and report on all activities, collections and deliveries.

ACI offers mapping and routing and despatch and control functionality, combined with reporting and management information analysis. ACI's Web Bookings technology also enables customers to book their own jobs directly on the Internet.
