Brighter displays for LXE landscape-mode terminals
Brighter displays for LXE landscape-mode terminals

LXE has announced new versions of its compact, landscape-display mobile terminals, the handheld MX3X and the similar truck-mounted VX3X, adding two specialised active-matrix display options. The special versions are designated MX3Plus and VX3Plus.

The extremely high-contrast 350NITs indoor version of the new display is said to be five times brighter than the colour displays used in the MX3X and VX3X.

The sunlight-readable version of the display uses transflective display technology to capture the sun's light and reflect it back to the user's eyes. The new models are called the MX3Plus and the VX3Plus.

The MX3Plus is a compact, rugged device with a large high-brightness half-VGA horizontal LCD screen (with optional touch-screen), full QWERTY keyboard, multiple scanning options and long-life battery for use as a handheld data collection computer.

The MX3Plus can be mounted on a forklift in a quick-release powered cradle if required, but if you want a model that is intended for constant forklift use, that's when the VX3Plus fixed wireless vehicle-mount version comes into its own.

Both versions come with LXE's ToughTalk voice-recognition technology.
