Satnav included in Vodafone's BlackBerry Curve
![]() Another development illustrating the increasing ubiquity of satellite navigation in the mobile phone market is the inclusion of the Telmap-powered Vodafone Sat Nav with the latest BlackBerry Curve 8310 device. Customers who use the unit to connect to BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS), the company's email handling system, get a year's free subscription to the Sat Nav service, though after that there is a fee. The services includes live traffic alerts, weather updates and the latest maps (map data is refreshed on user devices every three months). The Curve 8310 includes many features familiar to BlackBerry users, such as comprehensive email capabilities, fast Web browsing and premium phone features. A 2 megapixel camera is built in.
