2 November 2010 Cortado’s cross-platform cloud integration The latest version of the Cortado Corporate Server (version 5.0), which manages email via mobile phones, is said to allow cross-platform integration of iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smartphones into corporate IT systems. The new solution is also said to allow organisations to integrate BlS (BlackBerry Internet Service) easily devices into their IT, and includes a new Active Directory search feature, which is said to make it easier use to use network printers. The system uses what are termed Virtual Desktop Processes to enable users take advantage of many desktop features such as accessing network documents, copying and pasting files to other folders, creating PDFs and faxes, and accessing database reports. An integrated "cloud" printing system (Cortado’s original speciality) allows users to print documents on any network printer within the organisation or on any printer located on the same network as the smartphone.
