Pro navigation from TomTom

TomTom PRO

Improved route guidance and speedier route calculations together with additional safety features and an improved user-interface are some of the benefits attributed to the Pro 7100 and 9100 in-cab devices from TomTom Business Solutions, the business unit of TomTom dedicated to commercial vehicle fleets.

The PRO 7100 and 9100 devices deliver accurate travel and arrival time using real speed data collected from millions of users. They have more extensive maps covering an extra two million kilometres of roads across 45 European countries. "In business time is money," says Thomas Schmidt, managing director of TomTom Business Solutions. "With a fleet of vehicles on the road eight hours a day, every minute saved on a journey delivers real savings."

Safety features such as Advanced Lane Guidance, hands-free calling and text-to-speech are incorporated, as are Eco Routes (offering more fuel-efficient routes).

The PRO series are part of TomTom’s WORKsmart solution, which includes vehicle tracking, job despatch, time management, eco driving and management reporting.

The PRO 9100 has an integrated SIM card, so connects directly to Webfleet, TomTom’s online portal, whereas the PRO 7100 is connected to the separate on–board Link 300/310 telematics box.
