Customer service guru for FleetBoard

Following its decision to fit the FleetBoard telematics package as standard in the Mercedes-Benz Actros truck range, Daimler FleetBoard has appointed a dedicated head of customer service management.

It says it has been prompted to take this step to manage the "escalating increase" in the FleetBoard customer base.

The man who gets the new role is Nayif Demirkaya, who managed customer support for Sony Ericsson for ten years. His arrival means there is now a single point of contact for hardware and software issues relating to the FleetBoard range.

* FleetBoard has just launched country-specific telephone numbers for customer contact across Europe.
