16 August 2012 Web portal from Martin Port signs first deal with Isotrak A web portal called BigChange AppsCentre has been set up to provide a single access route for businesses seeking software as a service applications in the mobile computing sector. It is the latest venture of Martin Port, former head of telematics company Masternaut. Since leaving the company last year he has already launched Micronet Europe, a business selling in-cab computer systems, and invested in R2C Online, a company specialising in hosted fleet management software. He has now joined the R2C management team. BigChange will be offering a wide range of resources from third-party suppliers, including asset management applications and job management applications. Its temporary web site also lists other products such as delivery logistics, workflow management and stock management. An early partnership announced by the company is one with established telematics and fleet management specialist Isotrak, which claims to be largest provider of high-end supply-chain vehicle tracking and telematics solutions to the FMCG sector in the UK.
Isotrak’s key interest in BigChange appears to be to use it to penetrate new markets in continental Europe and the rest of the world. According to managing director Greville Coe: "It’s a perfect fit to support our expansion plans." Martin Port comments: "Isotrak has developed fantastic applications running on our leading-edge mobile computer range." He says too much technology is delivered with no personal human service. "BigChange has strong belief in being a high-tech high-touch company." © Ivory Square Publications Ltd
